Grandma and Aubrey come to Texas

In March, my mom flew down for a visit - and this time she brought my little niece Aubrey with her! Ella and Aubrey have been best buddies, inseparable every summer, for years. Last summer while we were in Idaho, I may have mentioned (within earshot of the kids) that we just had to get Aubrey out to see us in Texas - that once a summer just wasn't enough for these two girls who just love each other so much! Evidently this idea was not soon forgotten by Aubrey or Ella. So my mom proposed the idea of her bringing Aubrey down on one of here visits, and we thought it would be just too fun to pass up. We didn't tell Aubrey until about 2 weeks before the trip, and even then it was a LONG wait for her!! While she was here, we had our St. Patrick's Day dinner of green pancakes, a very special Girl's Night Out - complete with haircuts, painted nails, matching dresses, a fancy dinner out, and tickets to see the play "If You Give a Pig a Party - we celebrated Ruby's birthday, we ate lunch at Ella's school, and had five sleepovers in a row! It was such a fun time for the girls, and a very memorable trip for little Aubrey. We'll have her back any day!!
