School...it started

It happened.  School started.  Summer ended.  Sad!!!  Ruby started third grade, Ella started 6th grade (and middle school!), Tyler started 9th grade (and high school!), and Spencer started 12th grade (his senior year!).  They are all growing up!!  I've included a few other pictures of the first week or so of school:  Ella's hot or rainy walks to school and back, Ruby helping Bryan spray for weeds, shopping for our media room upstairs, Doll Hair Make-over Day, and Ruby's adorable notes to me and Bryan.

Back to School Partying

It's such a sad day when you realize that summer is almost over!  All you can do is cram as much fun into those days as possible.  We took a boatload of Tyler's friends out on the lake one evening, and they didn't stop smiling the entire time.  It was great!  Spencer also had an evening on the boat with friends, but it doesn't seem like I took any pictures of that outing.  Oops!  We hosted a back-to-school party with all of the LDS 6th grade girls, and that was a ton of fun helping those girls get to know each other.  What a darling group of girls!  Ruby had her Summer Book Club again (but somehow I took no pictures!), and she and Ella treated the group to their delicious Oreo cupcakes (I DID get a picture of those!).  Spencer had a less-fun end of summer, thanks to getting his wisdom teeth pulled.  He handled it like a trouper, though!
