Back to School
Once the trip to Idaho is over, it's usually time to gear up for school to start. This summer was no exception, except that we had four more weeks of summer to do it! Here are a few of things we did to fill those last few weeks of summer:
- A couple more outings on the boat
- Spencer squeezed a few more dates in, with this one being picture-worthy. His date's mom required that there be at least 5 people on the date. Since Spencer was only able to round up one additional couple, he recruited Tyler to come along as his "bodyguard!" Hahaha...so hilarious!
- The girls had fun dressing up at the Pioneer Day celebration
- Spencer had choir camp in Houston, and we had to leave home at 4:30am to get him there. I'm sure glad he enjoyed his nap!! Wish I'd have had that luxury as the driver! Grrrrr...
- I got to spend a week at Girl's Camp!
- Hangin' with my homies - look at all those stripes!!
- Another Book Club for Roo
- And Mary had her baby!!! Little Bennett was born, and we were so sad that we just missed him. So what would any self-respecting Delta family do?? Why fly to Idaho for the day, of course! We only had two days to work with, so we flew on up there (dined on In-and-Out burgers), and held and cuddled that little cutie.
And then it was time for school... We'd squeezed everything we could into our last month, but it was time. Ruby started 2nd grade, Ella started 5th grade, Tyler started 8th grade, and Spencer started 11th grade. Say it isn't so!!
