DisneyWorld Day 4

Our last day of Disney!!!!  What an amazing week we had.  On our last day at DisneyWorld, we woke up early once again and hit Hollywood Studios when it opened.  We tore through the gates and headed straight for the Rockin' Roller Coaster.  This was the only ride that Ruby was too short to go on, and she was pretty disappointed.  Ella, who would have normally been terrified to ride such a thing, just headed right into the line.  She and the boys ended up riding it 4 times!  Ruby and I hit the Tower of Terror while we waited, and then Bryan and I switched off.  It was all just so much fun.  Spencer auditioned for the American Idol Experience, and we all had an awesome day again.  Our plan was to finish up the trip with the awesome night show Fastasmic, which we did go to and love, but then somehow the kids convinced us to hit Magic Kingdom one last time.  So at 10:00pm we headed back to Magic Kingdom for a few more rides, one more glimpse of the parade, and a final snack or two.  We headed back on the monorail at midnight!  What a whirlwind of a week.  We were up and walking (occasionally running) from sun-up to sun-down, and never heard a word of complaint.  They all said that they had the most fun they could ever remember.  And I have to agree!  Even the 18 hour drive home didn't dampen their spirits.  I just love these kids!!!! 

DisneyWorld Day 3

Day 3 of Disney was spent at Epcot.  We had such gorgeous weather the entire week, with just a little drizzle on our Epcot morning.  We didn't mind it at all, since we were inside riding rides Test Track for all of it!  Epcot was really fun, and we saw and did everything there was to do.  We left in the afternoon, because we had big plans for dinner that night.  We had reservations at a Cinderella character dinner, and I just knew it would be a memorable night.   I was not wrong!  Ruby had decided to get a Cinderella dress as her souvenir of the trip, so she was all decked out in her dress, shoes, purse, and jewels.  She looked just beautiful.  I gave the boys a little lecture on how they needed to help make this night special for the girls (since we have such great memories of their character dinner with Mickey, from years ago).  Spencer had big hopes of getting a hug and picture with Cinderella, and I told him that was fine - but he couldn't monopolize the night.  Well...Drisella had other plans!  She latched onto Spencer as soon as we entered the ballroom for dinner, and by the end of the night they'd made plans for a wedding (to take place the next day, evidently).  She asked Spencer to serenade her, and he gladly obliged.  With a rap.  She then called over every character in the room to hear this rap, and they all howled.  They danced the night away, ending with Spencer giving her his business card (name and phone number, written on a piece of hotel stationary, originally intended for Cinderella) and then receiving a call from Drisella later that night.  So in the end, it was even more crazy and memorable than I could have dreamed!  The other kids, who are all much too shy for such shenanigans, just loved it.  Ruby loved spending time with Cinderella also, and Ella and Tyler also got plenty of attention from Anastasia and Prince Charming. 

DisneyWorld Day 2

On Day 2 of our Disney trip we went to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning.  We caught the 7am shuttle, and were there when the park opened at 8.  Animal Kingdom is a cute little park, with only a handful of big attractions.  We went on Expedition Everest first, and rode it twice without the slightest wait.  Same thing for Dinosaur, which we did next.  We did everything there was to do at Animal Kingdom by noon, so we headed back to the hotel for a rest.  After crashing (me!), we took the kids to the pool and let them swim and enjoy that for the afternoon.  Around dinner time we headed over to Magic Kingdom for dinner, a few rides, and the night parade and firework show.  It was a gorgeous night, and we loved being there for all the festivities.  It was a late night, preceded by the very early morning, so we were all exhausted.  Poor little Ruby finally just sat down in the middle of road, while we waited for the fireworks!  There aren't many vacations that you run from sun-up until sun-down and still call fun!  But this was definitely one of them.  It was another awesome day!
