For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Idaho. This is the first Thanksgiving we've spent up there since Mary's wedding a few years ago. It was really, really fun! My kids are begging that this becomes our new tradition. One of the real highlights of this trip was the fact that there was lots of snow on the ground. At least on the night we arrived! The forecast was set to warm up, so we knew that first night might be our only chance to play in the snow. The kids definitely made the most of that time, and they built snowmen, threw snowballs, and hot tubbed until way past bedtime. They were frozen solid by the time they came in! We did manage to find some snow on two more days during our trip - once by driving up into the mountains, and the next by hitting an artificial-snow sledding and snowboarding hill. We all had so much fun sledding and tubing and snowboarding - if only poor Colbie hadn't broken her wrist on a fall! Ouch!! Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful and perfect, and I can definitely say that we made the most of our week up there. The kids were exhausted each night, and we packed the days and nights with so much fun. Thanks for an awesome trip!!
