Spencer's Eagle Project

This summer, Spencer did his Eagle project.  The project consisted of a book drive, from friends and neighbors, and the painting of book shelves to donate to the Methodist Children's Hospital.  He had boxes and boxes of books donated over the course of a couple of weeks, and then finally came the big day for the project.  He had about 12 young men show up to sort books and paint bookshelves.  It only took them a couple of hours, and we then rewarded them with pizza and chips.  On the following Monday, Bryan and the boys took the books and book shelves down to the Children's Hospital, and they organized the books and set them up in the children's wing of the hospital.  It was a great project, and I think they felt really good about doing it.
