Miscellaneous

There's never a dull moment around here, that's for sure!  We've been busy as usual, but having a great time.  I've included pictures from a variety of events and happenings, so I'll do my best to explain them briefly.  First up, we tried to spend as much time as possible up at the Lakehouse.  We enjoyed making s'mores over the fire, and even some winter waterskiing and tubing.  How my husband and those boys were crazy enough to get in the water is beyond me!  Speaking of Bryan and the boys, they used their Christmas rodeo tickets and went to the rodeo and Josh Turner concert.  They look awesome in their cowboy gear!  The girls have been up to their usual fun and games, complete with a trip to the Rollercade, a "spa day" for Ruby, and the discovery of the boys old costumes.  I also discovered a chair set up in the bathroom, which I later learned was placed there so the girls could have a "meeting."  We also had a few celebrations this winter - Ruby celebrated the 100th day of school (with 100 One Direction stickers on her shirt), we all celebrated the "dippin-dot" snow day that we had, and we celebrated Valentine's Day.  I love Ruby's homemade Valentine that says, "This is Ruby.  I love you.  I love you because I never want to let go of you guys."  Ahhhhhh.  Tyler made a big move this semester in school, up the Advanced Men's Choir.  No more singing in a sea of girls for this kid!  He performed in an awesome concert in preparation for their UIL competition.  I was able to go chaperone this competition, and it's always fun to spend time with Ty.  He also had the chance to go with his group of friends to a Scorpions soccer game.  They got to carry the flag onto the field, and even made an appearance on the Jumbotron.  Spencer also had a huge event this winter.  He was selected to sing the National Anthem at the JROTC Military Ball.  The only freshman ever to be selected!  I'm just bummed I couldn't go watch him.  I've also included a few pictures of morning Ruby.  No matter the season, she is almost always cold in the morning.  She routinely wears her fuzzy coat at breakfast, and occasionally busts out the hat and scarf.  And she always has a mega rats nest!  The last pictures are ones we created using a mustache-adding website that I learned about from a Scout activity.  We had a lot of fun making those pictures!
