Spring Whirlwind

Warning:  Picture overload!!  Every Spring is such a whirlwind of activity, with all of the kids activities.  I've compiled all of the pictures from their different events right here in one spot.  Here are a few details, in list format, about them:

Spencer:
- Finally turned 16!  Passed his driver's test, and is now a licensed driver.
- Went to Houston with his friend Ethan to his first real concert - Maroon 5.  His favorite band!
- Continued to work hard taking care of lawns to earn money for such outings!
- First date!!  Asked a girl to Mormon Prom, and they looked adorable.
- Choir Banquet.  Spencer won the award for Mr. Piano (quietest) and also the Bass section leader for the top varsity choir.  Say what??  He was pretty pumped!
- Final concert of the year, the beloved Pop Show.  Always a great show!

Tyler:
- Ran hurdles in track.  Did a great job!
- Was inducted into NJHS at a "ceremony of symbolism."
- Performed in (starred in!) his middle school Pop Show.  He sang and danced to "Pop Goes My Heart" in a quartet, danced and sang to "Uptown Funk," and sang the solo in "In the Still of the Night."
- Won awards for "Outstanding Choir Member," Choir president, and Tenor 1 section leader.
- Sang at his Spring voice recital.

Ella:
- Has started regularly hijacking my phone to take selfies.
- Dressed up as Quanah Parker for the 4th grade wax museum.
- Went to Austin to the Capital Building with the entire 4th grade (and me!) for a fieldtrip.
- Had her class Luau on the last day of school.
- Spent lots of time baking and playing with Ruby.

Ruby:
- Had her first grade Reading Restaurant.  Adorable!
- Lots of dress up days at school - chef and pajama days are pictured here.
- Field trip to the zoo, plus a picnic at the park.
- Participated in the school PE Showcase.
- Class field trip to the Riverwalk downtown for Red Nose Day.  We made the morning news!
- Class party on the last day of school.

Kacee and Bryan: (Our section is really small!)
- Bryan took the kids to Lulu's, for a giant 3 pound cinnamon roll.
- I had a great Mother's Day with the fam, with lots of homemade gifts from the kids.
- I flew to Utah for my Grandpa Andersen's funeral.  It was such a heartbreaking day when I heard that he'd died.  He was always such a huge part of my life growing up, and it's just hard to imagine not seeing him again this summer!  The funeral was so nice, though, and I am so glad I was able to be there.
