Busy, busy, busy!

Before winter officially settles in, I should give an update on our busy Fall.  Once school starts up in the Fall, it's always just a whirlwind until Christmas.  This year we were adjusting to three different schools, one of which was high school, and so Mom's Taxi Service was busier than ever.  Fall sports start up in September, too, and that always keeps us busy.  Ruby and Ella both played soccer again, and they always have a lot of fun.  It wasn't their most aggressive season, due in part to a couple of balls-to-the-face they both took, but they still played well and had fun.  Tyler played another season of football, and even though his team didn't win a game (no, not one), he always loves to play.  He played running back again this season, and he did an awesome job.  Especially for being one of the youngest players in his league!  He also caught two interceptions this season, and those were very cool and exciting to watch.  Spencer has been very busy with his school activities - ROTC and choir - and he has enjoyed rappelling with ROTC and singing in concerts for choir.  Tyler is also singing in his middle school choir this year, and even though he is one of only 3 boys in a 80 person choir, he loves it!  I'm so glad he has the confidence to do that.  We attended the elementary school's annual Fall Festival again this year, and the kids all had a great time riding rides and tearing around with their friends.  Tyler also got to do some ziplining and rope walking at a b-day party, which he said was awesome.  Due to our busy schedule, we didn't get very many chances to go to the Lakehouse this Fall.  Thankfully we were able to sneak away for General Conference weekend, though, and enjoyed a beautiful Fall weekend up there - chilly with hot chocolate in the morning, warm enough for swim suits in the afternoon.  Can't beat that!  The kids also enjoyed some Red Ribbon Week festivities at school, such as crazy tie day and mustache day, and Bryan got to attend 2 of the schools for Veteran's Day.  These kids keep us running (ragged!), but we love every minute of it.  Well, almost every minute - school projects at 10pm aren't our favorites.
