Happy Valentine's Day!
Oh, Valentine's Day. My husband hates this holiday, therefore it has turned into yet another holiday for the kids (sigh!). They did have a great time, and loved delivering Valentines to all their friends at school. We were lucky enough to get another use out of the penguin Valentine box (I've been holding onto it for 4 years, since Spencer and I made it when he was in 4th grade!). We took the bowtie off and turned it into a "hat-bow". And isn't it adorable! Ruby got the cutest little surprise at the door again this year - her cute little friend delivering flowers to his "girl" for Valentine's Day. She was so funny and shy at the door, but can you tell how getting those flowers made her feel?? Special!! Ella and I watched a YouTube video on hair styling a few weeks back, and so we tried the Twist Heart Braid on the girls this year. They turned out pretty cute! Ruby's was a little tricky with her small amount of hair, but she was still thrilled. We had homemade heart pizza for dinner, followed by decorated sugar cookies. But the best treat of all was that Grandma Thompson, Aunt Stephanie, and cousins Aubrey, Carson, and Charlotte all flew in to Texas for the weekend!! More on that to follow...
