Ella Rose has turned 9!! And birthday season has begun. This year Ella wanted a One Direction cake. She cared less about flavor (no chocolate!), and far more about style. In the end we went with a vanilla cake and white chocolate frosting. I used black sugar sheets to make the 1D, and she was very excited about the way it turned out. Success! For her birthday dinner she requested "Daddy's pulled pork," Pasta Roni (Ruby's favorite food), and edamame. Oh, and homemade rootbeer! Her gift requests for the year were pretty vague. In other words, she had no idea what she wanted! She ended up getting a variety of crafts and clothes, a Frozen CD, a 1D poster, and some sparkle bands for her Rainbow Loom. She had a great day, and I hope she felt very loved. Happy Birthday sweet Ella Rose!!!
