Utah

After a fun time in Idaho, we headed down to Utah for a week.  Our first stop was Park City, for another fun weekend at the Mountainside Marriott.  We had a great time there with Bruce and Vicki and with Scott and Catherine's family.  The kids love roasting marshmallows over the big fire pits, hiking up the mountain, and soaking in the hot tubs.  The best part is just being together, and having fun cousin sleepovers.  It was a great weekend!  When we left Park City, we headed down to Bountiful to spend the rest of the week at Bryan's parents' house.  The kids had fun collecting slugs in the backyard, playing Legos and other puzzles, and seeing their cousins again.  Ella and Ruby were also treated to a tomato soup shampoo, to try and get rid of the neon green hair that the Park City hot tubs left them with.  It actually really helped, but Ruby was mortified by it!  We took one day and went up to Ogden to spend the day with my dad.  We first went to have lunch at the Country Club with my Grandpa Jensen.  The kids love seeing him, and love eating lunch at the Country Club!  He's doing great, too, and looking mighty good for being 98 years old!  After some swimming, we took the kids on a tour of my old schools and neighborhood, even bumping into a couple of old neighbors.  Such a fun stroll down memory lane!  When it came time to eat again, I was thrilled beyond belief that we got to go eat at Tony's Pizza.  The best!!!  And just like I remembered it.  Bryan and the kids all loved it too.  Such a fun day in O town!  The next day we went the opposite direction and spent the day in Salt Lake City.  We took the kids to temple square, the church history museum, and to the new shopping area downtown.  I was so happy to be able to take the kids to see all of these neat places, and it was fun for me to see how SLC has changed.  On our last weekend there, I had my 20 year high school reunion.  Can I just say, it was FUN!!!  It was so much fun to spend time with my close friends, making posters and decorating for the reunion, and then to see friends and classmates that I haven't seen in 20 years.  I wondered if a reunion would live up to the hype and anticipation, and I have to say that it far exceeded it.  It was SO much fun!!!  Go Lakers!!!  :)  The whole week was a wonderful time to share my childhood stomping ground with my family, and to enjoy spending time with my dad and with Bryan's parents.
