Labor Day in Galveston

We took our fourth annual trip to Galveston again this Labor Day weekend.  We always have a great time playing on the beach, eating at the Rainforest Cafe, and getting ice-cream and taffy at the candy store downtown.  This year's trip had a few changes to it - the kids enjoyed the drive a lot more with the DVD player in our new car; we officially ended the tradition of renting the 6-person bikes and riding the boardwalk - we realized that this is an activity that looks a lot more fun than it really is, and it is actually a torture device meant to inflict pain on the parents (pedal-ers); we tried a new restaurant for night #2 of dinner, since we had yet to find a place that we all loved.  The restaurant is called Golden Corral.  Perhaps you've heard of it??  An insane amount of food, plates filled to the gills with random selections of food, and more dessert than should be legal - THIS is Golden Corral.  And the kids have informed us that we need look no further for our yearly second night of dinner!
