Wish Lists

We had the chance to see Santa twice this Christmas, and the kids came prepared.  The first visit from Santa was an exciting one - Santa flew in from the North Pole on an F-16!  This is a fighter pilot squadron tradition, and although it had been a few years since we'd been able to see it, I assumed that the kids would say, "Oh yeah!!"  But no.  No recollection at all!  How sad.  But regardless, Santa arrived in the F-16 and the kids enjoyed seeing him.  It was a gorgeous Texas December day, as you can see in the pictures.  Santa also visited our neighborhood again this year, and the kids enjoyed cookies, hot chocolate, and roasting marshmallows while waiting for their turn to read off their Christmas Wish Lists.  Here is what the kids asked for this year:

Ruby:  A hot tub (might as well aim high!), and an Our Generation doll named Jessica-Anne.
Ella:  An Our Generation doll named Robyn.  (Originally asked for McKenna, the American Girl doll, but after Santa sent her an email saying they had run out of time to make all the McKenna's that kids had asked for, she settled on Robyn - who looked like her, and was best friends with Jessica-Anne and Sandie, who Ruby and Aubrey asked for).
Tyler:  A Go-Cart (fat chance), an iTouch (also not going to happen), and an Eagles football (that's more like it!!).  :)
Spencer:  Nike shoes and a Nike shirt just like Tyler's .  (I guess that's the official sign of growing up - asking for clothes instead of toys!!)  Of course I made him sit on Santa's lap, if he had any hope of getting what he asked for!  Making a large 13 year old sit on Santa's lap is fun.  :)
