Christmas is the season of concerts, performances, and recitals. It's part of what makes it such a busy time of year! But it's also one of my favorite parts of Christmas. This year we had lots of Christmas music from the kids to enjoy. The kids started the month by performing in their piano recital. This was Ruby's first recital, and she did a great job. She'd had her song memorized and perfected weeks before the recital! We then got to listen to both Spencer and Tyler sing in their Christmas voice recitals. Spencer sang "What Child is This" and Tyler sang "Over the River and Through the Woods." They both sounded awesome. And I love the group picture of Tyler after his voice recital. Tyler, in a sea of girls... He's a smart boy! Ella had a cute little music program at school, and she even got to play the part of a Christmas tree. She was adorable! Both of the girls joined me a group of Cub Scouts and Activity Day girls to sing Christmas carols at a care center, and they were both so sweet with the residents. Spencer and Tyler each had their Christmas concerts at school, and they were so much fun to watch. They have been so lucky to have such outstanding choir conductors and choir programs. We are so thankful for them! Spencer had the pleasure of being in the show choir at his high school, the Soundsations!, and he performed 5-6 nights a week during the month of December. It was a blast for him! It was also sheer craziness, but all worth it. What a great group of amazing performers they are! He had the best time.
