A Fun Summer

I hate to put a whole summer's worth of pictures in one post, but it's just gotta get done.  The fact is, we did have a fun summer.  It was a great summer!  We took our yearly trip to Idaho and Utah, and I will include those pictures in a later post, but we also had a great time in San Antonio before and after our trip.  These pictures include a few trips up to the lake, a trip to Six Flags, and several miscellaneous pictures that I took of the kids' games and antics.  I've also included a few pictures of Spencer's 50 mile bike High Adventure trip, as well as a picture of Tyler's 11 year-old-Scout daycamp.  A few pictures of note:  Yes, Spencer looks like a giant in those football pads.  It's freaky.  Yes, Ruby often picks her own outfits.  Yes, Bryan is indeed towing our boat to land (and the boys are behind the boat, pushing it).  Our rope got caught in the prop, and we were stranded in the middle of the lake without another soul in sight.  Thanks to a healthy wind, Bryan's pulling and the boys pushing, and a real miracle and answer to prayer (finding a scuba mask in the water, enabling Bryan to untangle the rope), we were able to get safely to shore with only a bent prop.  And yes, Monopoly games are often quite emotional at the Carlson house, and Tyler occasionally (every time) has to take a moment to calm himself down.  So glad we caught this one on film!  Like all summers, this one went way too fast.  School, again???  Really???
